đ„ CPI + HORMUZ: THE DOUBLE SQUEEZE ON LIQUIDITY đ
The market is holding its breath for the US July CPI print, while tensions in the Strait of Hormuz remain unresolved and oil prices keep piling on inflationary pressure.
Personally, I don't think this is just routine data. This is a moment where two major forces are colliding: inflation could push the Fed to hold or even tighten policy, while geopolitical risk drives up global energy costs. Risk-on liquidity is quietly draining out.
$BTC is feeling the pressure most clearly. It's testing the $63,500â$63,800 zone on thin liquidity, with longs getting liquidated continuously. If CPI comes in hotter than expected, the $63,000 level could easily break.
$ETH is holding up a bit better around $1,880â$1,890, with relatively steadier flows.
As for $SOL the classic high-beta coin it tends to react harder whenever risk-off kicks in, and could sell off fast on bad data.
My view leans cautious for the medium term. I'm keeping a high allocation in $BTC, holding back on new entries into $ETH and $SOL, and waiting to see the actual reaction after CPI.
So here's my question: if CPI comes in higher than expected, do you think $BTC breaks $63,000 first and drags $ETH and $SOL down with it or is current support strong enough to hold the line?
đ And how are you adjusting your allocation across these three coins ahead of this key data release?
