$ETC runs ~159 TH/s (Oct 14, Kryptex). During the Aug 2020 attacks, Crypto51 had it near 2 TH/s and a 1-hour attack at about $4,860. That’s 80x more hash.
But pool share isn’t the number that matters. Attackers rented 51%, they didn’t own it. Tracked pools on MiningBoard cover under 40% of ETC hash.
Cost scales with hash times rental price, so the 2020 figure is dead. What I can’t verify is how much Etchash is rentable today.
