The caution around LUNA is understandable, especially given Terra's history. One correction, though: the current LUNA is Terra 2.0, not the original token that reached about $119.51. The original chain/token became Terra Classic (LUNC) after the 2022 collapse.
As of Aug. 12, 2026, LUNA is around $0.045–$0.05, and it has recently been showing a sharp percentage rebound.
But calling the current move definitively a “pump-and-dump scheme” would require evidence of coordinated manipulation. A 20%+ move by itself doesn't prove that.
The stronger argument is simply:
A huge percentage rebound doesn't erase the project's historical risk. A coin trading near a few cents can post spectacular percentage gains while remaining extremely speculative.
So I wouldn't chase the move merely because the chart is showing +20%. **Price momentum ≠ fundamental recovery.**
