Meta & Microsoft cut internal Claude use ahead of Anthropic's IPO
According to The Information, Microsoft cut its projected internal Claude spend (at least 1B USD/yr) by more than 1/3 and steered staff to GitHub Copilot and OpenAI models.
Meta's Claude Code users fell from ~60K to ~30K.
According to Reuters, the Anthropic IPO could value it above 2T USD, after the Nov midterms.
Oct 5-9: MSFT +3.39%, AMZN +4.34%, GOOGL +2.38%, META -1.29%.
Risk: customer concentration.
