Arbitrum’s challenge is no longer simply proving that Ethereum scaling works. The bigger question is whether its ecosystem can retain developers and users as competition among Layer-2 networks intensifies. DeFi depth, application diversity, transaction activity, and developer momentum are therefore more meaningful indicators than short-term token price movements. Scaling infrastructure ultimately needs a thriving application economy behind it.
