🌅 CRYPTO MORNING UPDATE: CPI DAY COULD RESET THE MARKET Crypto wakes up with traders focused on one event: U.S. July CPI. $BTC is hovering around the $64K area after failing to sustain its recent push above $65K, while the broader market remains cautious. Bitcoin has spent weeks trapped roughly between $62K and $66K, with muted volatility showing just how little conviction exists right now. 🔥 TODAY’S BIG CATALYST The July CPI report is due today at 8:30 a.m. ET. Current expectations point to 3.4% headline inflation YoY, down from 3.5% previously. Core CPI remains the bigger test for the Fed and markets. A softer print could strengthen hopes for easier monetary policy, pressure yields lower and give risk assets room to rally. A hotter number could trigger the opposite: higher yields, stronger dollar pressure and another risk-off move across crypto. 🏦 ETF FLOWS ARE THE BULLISH COUNTERWEIGHT Institutional demand hasn't disappeared. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recently recorded about $853M of inflows, while Ethereum ETFs added roughly $245M. Yet prices remain range-bound, suggesting ETF demand is being absorbed by other selling pressure. ⚠️ MACRO RISK REMAINS Oil and Middle East tensions remain important. Brent crude was around $89.61 as markets monitored developments near the Strait of Hormuz.
