Just short $FIL, it's a very simple principle. From today until October 15th, there are still 18 million FIL that need to be unlocked. Even at $0.7 each, it requires $12.7 million in funds to absorb these unlocked tokens. Are you still fantasizing about a big surge? If it rises to $1, it would require $18 million in funds to take over. Do you think the whales will spend an extra $5 million? Impossible. Do you think the whales will buy these daily unlocked tokens at a high price? Even less likely. So now the price is being continuously suppressed, just letting it hover and oscillate around $0.7. Look at how much Ethereum and Bitcoin rose on the monthly chart from July to August, then look at this token's monthly chart — it's obvious someone is suppressing its price to prevent it from rising. So I'll say it one last time: just do short-term trades daily. Short when it hits $0.7, long when it drops to $0.66, keep your position small and use stop-loss. This token won't exceed $0.75 before October because no one is willing to spend more money to take over such a bad project. XRP is now most worth watching, not so much for when the lawsuit will be completely resolved, but for how much of its original position remains as stablecoins grow stronger.
In the past few years, $XRP's market has often been driven by regulatory news, making many people almost forget that its original purpose was actually cross-border payments. Traditional cross-border remittances are slow, costly, and require banks to prepare large amounts of liquidity in advance. XRP aims to solve this efficiency problem. This story was indeed very advanced ten years ago, but now the market environment is completely different. USDT and USDC have already scaled "on-chain dollars" to a large extent, and more and more payment companies and traditional financial institutions are seriously studying stablecoin settlements.
This actually poses a difficult question for XRP: if everyone can directly transfer dollars, why is there still a need to go through a volatile XRP in the middle?
For example, if a company needs to complete a cross-border payment, it used to require going through different banks, currencies, and complex clearing processes. Now, theoretically, it can directly convert dollars into USDC and transfer it via Solana or other low-cost networks, and the recipient still receives dollar-denominated assets. For enterprises, what they really care about is often not "which token is used," but whether the funds arrive quickly, costs are low, and exchange rate risks are controllable.
So the more mature stablecoins become, the more XRP's old "bridge asset" logic needs to prove itself again.
But this does not mean XRP has no chance. On the contrary, if the world truly enters an era of global on-chain settlement, the problem may upgrade from "how to transfer dollars" to "how to perform real-time exchanges among dollars, euros, yen, various stablecoins, and RWAs." At this stage, what is needed is not just a single dollar asset like USDC, but a whole set of liquidity and foreign exchange settlement networks. If Ripple can truly bring its years of institutional relationships and payment infrastructure into this market, XRP may still find its place.
This is also where it differs completely from how SOL and $BNB compete. SOL is more like competing for the high-speed settlement highway, BNB owns trading platforms and on-chain entry points, USDC is responsible for bringing dollars on-chain, while XRP should really compete to be the bridge between different assets.
The question is whether enough people must cross this bridge.
Previously, XRP could say that on-chain cross-border payments had not yet truly popularized, so the market was willing to give it future imagination; now that stablecoins are becoming more mature, this future is already happening, and XRP has reached the point where it must deliver results.
This is also why when I look at $XRP now, I no longer want to hear macro stories like "how big the payment market is." Of course, the market is huge, but USDT, USDC, $SOL, and traditional payment companies all know that it is huge.
What really matters is, after everyone comes to compete for this piece of the pie, how much does XRP actually get.
The most dangerous time for a sector is not necessarily when no one believes in it, but when everyone finally believes and then finds that all competitors have suddenly arrived.
XRP has waited more than a decade for on-chain payments to truly explode, and what it needs to prove next is whether XRP is still needed in this future.

Everyone still remembers the bull markets of 2017 and 2021. After Bitcoin's rise stabilized, Ethereum led the way, ushering in a vigorous altcoin season. Various coins rallied in succession, with single-day surges and doublings happening one after another. That was indeed the ideal time to invest in altcoins.
But the previous rally broke established expectations. Bitcoin peaked at 126,200, fluctuating sideways, but the much-anticipated knockoff season has yet to materialize. The vast majority of coins are very weak, not even reaching half the price of the previous bull market high.
The market logic has been completely rewritten; there will no longer be a nationwide bull market.
Large institutional funds pursue stability, focusing on BTC and ETH;
Only a small amount of short-term sentiment funds remain, rotating to speculate on a handful of popular coins.
The vast majority of off-market sites ranked outside the top 20 have no long-term capital to settle in. Once the market cools and liquidity continues to shrink, the market will eventually decline toward zero.
Rather than clinging to hopeless knockoffs, it's better to focus on mainstream tracks. $BTC $ETH #消费动能转弱, September policy remains constrained by inflation. #标普盈利超预期, why is Wall Street only looking at 7,894 points? 📊 $ETH Contract Liquidation Express (August 17)
According to liquidation data, the whale completed a textbook short squeeze harvest on ETH from short to long cycles. Bears controlled the market from the 1-hour mark, with total liquidations exceeding $1.74 million.
Time Total Liquidations Long Liquidations Short Liquidations
1 hour $1.0128M $70.3K $942.5K
4 hours $1.0433M $80.8K $962.5K
12 hours $1.1165M $133.4K $983.0K
24 hours $1.7406M $640.6K $1.100M
From the $ETH liquidation data, 1-hour short liquidations crushed longs by 13.4 times, with a nuclear-level intensity short squeeze, liquidation volume at $1.0128 million—bears strongly controlling the short cycle; at 4 hours, bears continued to dominate, 11.9 times the longs, maintaining extreme short squeeze pressure, liquidation volume slightly rising from $1.01M to $1.04M, bears kept harvesting; at 12 hours, bears still prevailed, 7.37 times the longs, short squeeze momentum weakened but remained strong, liquidation volume moderately climbed to $1.11M; at 24 hours, bears continued to crush, short liquidations at $1.10M versus longs at $640.6K, bears 1.72 times the longs—the whale completed a perfect path of "full-force short squeeze in short cycles → continuous harvesting in long cycles" on ETH, with all four timeframes highly aligned, bears continuously harvesting, total liquidations surpassing $1.74M. This is a textbook-level one-sided short squeeze market. But crucially, the bear dominance ratio shrank sharply from 13.4 times at 1 hour to 1.72 times at 24 hours, indicating short squeeze energy is rapidly fading, bulls and bears are returning to balance, and the direction could reverse at any time. Manage your positions carefully to avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: Bears have continuously crushed longs across all ETH cycles with highly consistent direction, but the 1H to 24H ratio narrowed from 13.4 to 1.72, showing a sharp decline in short squeeze momentum and a high risk of directional reversal; 1-hour and 4-hour liquidations account for 65% of the daily total, indicating high concentration and volatile market. Leverage is recommended to be compressed below 3x, avoid blind shorting, strictly control positions and wait for clear direction.
🔥 Market Indicator | August 17
Today's three hot topics point to the same theme: macro signals are split, and the market is undergoing a "data conflict" pricing reconstruction—consumption is retreating, earnings are surging, and leverage is gambling.
📉 Consumption Momentum Weakens: Rate Hike Probability Plummets, but Inflation Remains a "Tightening Spell"
US consumption signals continuous cooling. July retail sales fell 0.6% month-over-month, the largest drop in 14 months, far below the expected 0.1% growth; core retail sales also dropped 0.6%, missing expectations. The rapid decline in consumption momentum echoes the unexpected negative July nonfarm payrolls—labor market and consumer spending "double decline" are reinforcing each other.
But inflation stickiness still restricts policy space. July CPI rose 3.4% year-over-year, core CPI 2.5%; PPI dropped to 4.7% YoY, but service costs hit the largest annual increase, so inflation cooling is not a straight line down. CME data shows September rate hike probability dropped to about 33%, sharply contrasting with the 12% low after June CPI release—the market's inflation worries have never truly faded. No action is not because it's enough, but because of fear to act.
📈 S&P Earnings Beat Expectations: Why Does Wall Street Only Look at 7894 Points?
US Q2 earnings season delivered strong results. S&P 500 constituents' Q2 earnings grew 31% YoY, far exceeding early-year expectations; overall earnings beat by 7.4%, with over 90% of reporting companies showing earnings growth.
Wall Street strategists have raised the year-end S&P 500 target to 7894 points. But 7894 points imply only about 1% upside from current all-time highs—annual earnings growth expectations have been raised from 15% to 27%, but valuation expansion space is fully priced in. For the index to reach new highs, it requires continuous "outperformance" rather than steady "meeting expectations."
📊 ETF Buy-side Reversal: BTC Leverage Positions Reaccumulate
Bitcoin ETF fund flows are highly volatile. From August 3 to 7, US spot BTC and ETH ETFs had a combined net inflow of about $1.1 billion, with Bitcoin ETF net inflow at $865 million, ending eight consecutive weeks of outflows. But buying did not sustain—August 10 to 14, Bitcoin ETF net outflow was about $329 million, showing fast in and out.
More noteworthy is leverage. CryptoQuant data shows Bitcoin futures open interest surged by $2 billion in the second week of August, with leveraged longs rapidly rebuilding positions. If Bitcoin falls below $58,500, many leveraged positions may trigger forced liquidations. Buy-side reversal and leverage buildup are not trend confirmation signals but signs of intensified bull-bear battles.
💎 Summary
Three events paint the same picture: consumption retreating, earnings surging, leverage gambling—the weakness in consumption data and inflation stickiness create a macro "stagflation" dilemma; the earnings beat and narrow target price create a valuation contradiction in US stock pricing; ETF buy-side reversal and futures leverage rebuilding create tension in the crypto market. No rate cuts, no daring hikes, earnings rising, leverage building—the market is pricing the second half of 2026 in the most divided way. #消费动能转弱,9月政策仍受通胀制约

#ETF买盘反转,BTC杠杆仓位回升 $BICO long position buried, three iron rules learned from losing 9 dollars!
Tonight's BICO lesson was too expensive. I chased a long position at 0.02388, still fantasizing about a +50% target when it rose to 0.02526. Then at midnight, a heavy volume bearish candle with 140 million volume smashed through everything, and I stopped out at 0.02262, losing 9 dollars! Ironically, after I stopped out, the price hovered at 0.02278, which means it wasn’t the direction that was wrong, but I died before dawn — position too heavy, stop loss too far, got crushed before a rebound.
Reviewing these three losses: First, chasing highs. When entering at 0.02388, the rebound had already gone 18%, I caught the top. Second, averaging down. Adding positions while it was rising, thinking it was following the trend, but actually just expanding the stop loss range. Third, the mindset to recover losses. After losing on Sandisk during the day, I wanted to win it back on BICO, but ended up losing both trades. Each of these three mistakes was fatal, together they are a textbook case of liquidation.
Now the account dropped from 22.5 to 11.4, half a month of consecutive profits wiped out in one day. But I won’t delete my account or pretend it didn’t happen; these numbers will always stay in my stats. The point of 100 trades verified is today — to let errors explode at a 10-dollar level, not a 1000-dollar liquidation. Starting tomorrow, I’ll cut my position size in half, tighten stop losses, and never repeat the mindset of trying to recover losses.

The real focus last week was not on the ups and downs, but on the simultaneous appearance of **"cooling inflation" and "weaker growth."**
U.S. July PPI was flat month-over-month at 0%, weakening expectations for further rate hikes in September; however, retail sales fell 0.6% month-over-month, and Michigan consumer sentiment dropped to 51.0. The market received not a simple positive signal, but a mixed message of "inflation easing and the economy starting to cool."
U.S. stocks remain strong: The S&P 500 hit a historic closing high of 7798.99 on Thursday, only retreating 0.17% on Friday; SNDK rose about 35% over the week, with AI infrastructure still one of the strongest themes.
Crypto, however, is clearly weaker. BTC is currently around $63,200, and more importantly: the $865 million ETF net inflow actually occurred the previous week, with BTC ETF turning to a net outflow of about $385 million from August 10 to 14.
Adding to this, the SEC temporarily canceled the crypto rules meeting, delaying policy catalysts.
So it’s not that there are no positives now, but the positives are insufficient to generate sustained incremental funds.
The real focus this week is the August 19 FOMC meeting minutes.
U.S. stocks are trading on earnings, BTC is waiting for liquidity. Whoever gets incremental funds first will have the next trend. $BTC #消费动能转弱,9月政策仍受通胀制约 The total scale of stablecoins has hit a new high, and $CRCL is caught in a tug-of-war between the expansion of non-crypto settlements and interest rate cuts reducing reserve yields.
Traditional secondary game funds on-chain are gradually slowing down, but corporate cross-border payments and daytime deposits of on-chain U.S. Treasury bonds continue to increase.
The focus of valuation logic is shifting toward the capital efficiency of fund deposits in non-crypto scenarios, with the exchange capacity of compliant channels becoming the core support.
Whether the capital deposits in settlement scenarios can offset the erosion of interest income caused by rate cuts determines whether stablecoins can break free from being merely a chip asset.
If corporate settlement flow maintains an annual growth rate above 15% and reserves remain high, even with a 50 basis point drop in yield, the total holdings will still prove the effectiveness of independent settlement demand.
If consecutive rate cuts cause interest income to shrink by more than 20%, combined with increased compliance review thresholds triggering capital outflows, issuers will face a dual tightening of profits and liquidity channels.
When payment flows retreat again to being dominated by crypto market volatility, and the scale of non-crypto settlements declines by more than 10% for two consecutive weeks, the assumption of decoupling from the cycle is invalidated.
In the next seven days, close attention should be paid to the net inflow scale of enterprise-level on-chain channels and the spread changes in compliant liquidity pools under redemption tests.

According to liquidation data, the dog whales completed a one-sided long squeeze from short to long cycles on DOGE. Shorts were briefly tested in the short cycle but quickly crushed, while longs controlled the market from the 4-hour mark onward, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $180,000.
Time Total Liquidation Long Liquidation Short Liquidation
1 hour $46.25 $0 $46.25
4 hours $1,478.29 $1,098.24 $380.05
12 hours $3,573.45 $3,093.04 $480.41
24 hours $186,600 $186,000 $604.29
From the $DOGE liquidation data, in the 1-hour window shorts crushed longs, completely wiping out long positions, initiating a textbook short squeeze but with a very small volume—$46.25, a typical small probe; at 4 hours the direction completely reversed, longs crushed shorts with longs 2.89 times the shorts, the dog whales executed a fierce turnaround from short squeeze to long liquidation, with liquidation volume jumping from $46 to $1,478—longs began to take over the game; at 12 hours longs continued to dominate, longs were 6.44 times shorts, long liquidation momentum kept heating up, with volume rising moderately to $3,573; at 24 hours longs continued to crush shorts, with long liquidations at $186,000 versus shorts at $604.29, longs were 307.8 times shorts—the dog whales completed a perfect path on DOGE of "short-cycle baiting shorts → mid-to-long cycle full long liquidation," where short-cycle small short squeezes confused everyone, longs took over from 4 hours, and at 24 hours harvested with 307x intensity, with cumulative liquidations surpassing $180,000. A textbook case of "build up first, then kill." Everyone should control their positions carefully to avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: DOGE shows a sharp directional switch between short-cycle short squeeze (1H) and mid-to-long cycle long liquidation (4H/12H/24H), with decisive direction changes and 24-hour long liquidation intensity surging to 307x; 12H+24H liquidations account for 99% of the daily total, showing high concentration. Leverage is recommended to be compressed below 3x, avoid blindly bottom-fishing, and strictly control positions while waiting for clearer direction.

If you only look at the price, $CORE is indeed hard to get excited about right now. It has retraced nearly 99% from its historical high, with the current price around $0.02. For many early holders, this kind of movement is beyond what "deeply stuck" can describe. The more realistic question is: does an asset that has fallen this far still have the possibility of being revalued by the market? I actually think that at this point, repeatedly discussing "how much it has dropped historically" is no longer very meaningful. What really matters is how $CORE will survive going forward. In the past, the market traded $CORE mostly based on a typical public chain narrative: Bitcoin ecosystem, BTCFi, EVM compatibility, staking, and ecosystem project expansion. None of these stories are wrong. The problem is, the crypto market has never lacked projects with "correct stories"; what is truly scarce are protocols that can ultimately turn those stories into cash flow. Especially after rounds of public chain competition, the market's valuation system has clearly changed. In 2021, users were willing to pay extremely exaggerated valuations for "potentially becoming the next super public chain." Now, capital is becoming increasingly realistic: How many real users do you have? How much revenue do these users generate? Does the revenue ultimately flow back to $CORE itself? This may be the core factor in judging whether $CORE is worth being revalued in the near future. $#BTCETFsVsLeverage
📊 #BTCETFsVsLeverage|Spot ETF and Leverage Funds Re-segregate ⚡
The US spot BTC and ETH ETFs have recently become the core variables in the crypto market again. From August 3 to 7, the two types of ETFs recorded a combined net inflow of about $1.1 billion, with BTC around $854 million and ETH about $245 million, showing a significant rebound in institutional spot demand. From August 10 to 14, BTC ETFs turned to net outflows again, and spot buying began to weaken.📉
Meanwhile, the risk exposure on the derivatives side continues to expand. BTC futures open interest has risen to about 765,800 BTC, corresponding to a notional value of approximately $49.2 billion. Funding rates remain positive, indicating that longs are willing to keep paying funding fees to maintain leveraged positions.⚠️ Spot fund flows and leveraged positions are currently showing a clear divergence.
This structure will directly affect BTC's next phase of volatility. If ETFs continue to flow out while futures open interest remains high, price declines are likely to trigger long position reductions, stop losses, and liquidations, resulting in continuous deleveraging; if ETFs resume stable inflows, new spot funds can absorb derivative selling pressure, and high open interest (open contracts) will instead accelerate short covering and trend continuation during price increases.🔥 $BTC is not the answer to getting rich overnight, but rather an expression of a position against long-term uncertainty.
Many people enter $BTC attracted by get-rich-quick stories. There's nothing wrong with that; every market initially needs traffic. But those who truly hold onto $BTC in the end often do so not because they believe it will definitely rise tomorrow, but because they accept a more straightforward judgment: future uncertainty will not decrease.
Fiscal uncertainty, monetary uncertainty, regulatory uncertainty, geopolitical uncertainty, and the impact of AI on employment and production relations are all uncertain. Traditional assets are of course still important, but most are based on the assumption that a certain system will continue to operate stably. What makes $BTC special is that it offers a position outside of any system.
This does not mean going all in, nor does it mean it has no price risk. Precisely because $BTC is highly volatile, it is better understood as a long-term position rather than a short-term emotional button. You buy it not because you want to make money every week, but because you believe that in the asset allocation of the next decade, you need something that does not rely on corporate profits, national credit, or central bank policies.
The more mature the market becomes, the less $BTC’s slogans should sound like get-rich-quick tales and the more they should reflect asset allocation logic. Get-rich-quick stories attract people but also most easily create chasing highs and panic; allocation logic is less exciting but can make funds more stable. ETFs, corporate treasuries, and long-term holders are truly driving the latter.
$BTC’s greatest value is not guaranteeing you a win, but giving you a choice different from the traditional system.
In an increasingly complex world, the choice itself has a price. The most crowded place for consensus is often not an opportunity, but chips. After trading for a long time, I have become increasingly wary of one word: consensus. Especially in the crypto market. If a project is being discussed by everyone, pushed by KOLs, written about by research institutions, and its logic is repeated daily in communities—even people who have barely bought any coins can talk about its "long-term value"—the first reaction should not be excitement, but rather to ask: How many people have not bought into this logic yet? Many investors tend to look for "certainty". A project with technology, ecosystem, narrative, institutional backing, and preferably some macro catalysts layered on top, is thought to have a high enough probability of success. But the harshest part of the market lies precisely here. Correct logic does not mean the price still has favorable odds. From $EOS, $FIL, to later $PEPE, $BOME, these assets belong to completely different eras and narratives, but they share a very similar phenomenon: when a logic becomes the consensus of the entire market, the price has often already priced in a large amount of optimistic expectations in advance. Those who researched early often earn not from the "final realized value of the project," but from the valuation expansion during the consensus formation process. When everyone knows it’s good, things actually become more complicated. Because at this point, the market is no longer solving "whether anyone recognizes it," but "whether there is new incremental capital willing to continue recognizing it at a higher price." These are two completely different questions. Many retail investors tend to overlook this point. Seeing a project’s discussion level #SP500EarningsGap
📊 $SNDK SanDisk Liquidation Express|August 17 🔥📈💥
SanDisk has already pushed the shorts into a high-pressure zone this round. $SNDK closed at $1,641.11 on Friday, up 7.37% for the day, with an intraday high of $1,667.91 and about 21 million shares traded throughout the day. The cumulative increase over the past week is close to 35%, and the rebound over more than two weeks has exceeded 60%, with investors experiencing continuous high-volatility rallies day after day. 🚀
🔥 Options side has also entered a nuclear-level volatility.
On August 14, SNDK options trading included about 324,000 Calls and about 210,000 Puts, with a Put/Call ratio of about 0.65, showing a clear dominance of bullish option trades. The 30-day at-the-money implied volatility (IV) is about 82.5%, with short-term options implying a price fluctuation range of approximately ±16.2%. 📈
💥 Short pressure comes from the stock price rapidly moving away from its original pricing range. Previously, SanDisk's short positions once reached near historical highs. Recently, the Investor Day set targets including mid-to-high double-digit revenue growth for FY2028–FY2030, about 80% gross margin, and 100% of remaining cash returned to shareholders, which led the market to raise long-term profit expectations. Short covering combined with Call-side Gamma has jointly amplified the upward momentum.
⚠️ The US stock market lacks unified real-time forced liquidation amount statistics like those for crypto perpetual contracts, so it is impossible to accurately state "how many billions of dollars were liquidated in 24 hours." What can be confirmed is that SNDK has formed a squeeze structure with rapid stock price surge + high options volume + high volatility + short covering pressure all appearing simultaneously. Continuing to short above $1,600 requires bearing the risk of double-digit weekly volatility and short-term option Gamma amplification.📊 $APR Contract Liquidation Express (August 17)
According to liquidation data, the dog whales played a textbook-level long-short double kill on APR — short-term squeeze → mid-term long liquidation → long-term reversal. After repeated directional switches, the bulls retook control within 24 hours, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $1.49 million.
Time Total Liquidations Long Liquidations Short Liquidations
1 hour $45,600 $19,200 $26,300
4 hours $222,500 $160,600 $61,900
12 hours $587,000 $283,000 $304,000
24 hours $1,498,500 $890,500 $607,900
From the $APR liquidation data, in the 1-hour window, short liquidations crushed longs at a ratio of 1.37:1, indicating a mild short squeeze with $45,600 liquidated; at 4 hours, the direction completely reversed, with long liquidations crushing shorts at 2.59:1, marking a fierce shift from squeeze to long liquidation, and liquidations jumped from $45,600 to $222,500; at 12 hours, the direction weakened sharply, shorts only slightly exceeded longs by 1.07 times, nearly a tie, with extremely ambiguous direction and liquidations soaring to $587,000 — the mid-term confused everyone; at 24 hours, the direction reversed again, long liquidations crushed shorts at 1.46:1, the dog whales turned again, with cumulative liquidations surpassing $1.49 million — completing a full harvest path of "squeeze → long liquidation → confusion → long liquidation" on APR. Short-term shorts squeezed, mid-term longs liquidated, 12-hour direction confused all, 24-hour bulls reconfirmed direction to harvest. A textbook-level fourfold kill of longs and shorts, with repeated directional switches, profiting from both sides. Everyone should control positions carefully to avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: APR multi-period direction switches repeatedly (1H squeeze → 4H long liquidation → 12H balance → 24H long liquidation), with extremely intense directional changes. The 12-hour direction is highly ambiguous and confusing; 24-hour liquidations account for 98% of the daily total, with very high concentration. Leverage is recommended to be compressed to within 3x, avoid chasing highs or cutting lows, strictly control positions and wait for clear direction.
🔥 Market Weather Vane | August 17
Today's three hot topics point to the same theme: macro signals are split, and the market is undergoing a "data clash" pricing reconstruction — consumption is retreating, earnings are surging, leverage is gambling.
📉 Consumption Momentum Weakens: Rate Hike Probability Plummets, but Inflation Remains a "Tightening Spell"
US consumption continues to show cooling signals. July retail sales fell 0.6% month-over-month, the largest drop in 14 months, far below the expected 0.1% growth; core retail sales also declined 0.6%, missing expectations. The rapid decline in consumption momentum echoes the unexpected negative July nonfarm payrolls — the "double decline" in labor market and consumer spending is reinforcing each other.
But inflation stickiness still locks policy space. July CPI rose 3.4% year-over-year, core CPI 2.5%; PPI dropped to 4.7% YoY, but service costs hit the largest increase of the year, so inflation cooling is not a straight line down. CME data shows September rate hike probability has dropped to about 33%, sharply contrasting with the 12% low after June CPI release — market worries about inflation have never truly faded. No action is not because it's enough, but because no one dares to act.
📈 S&P Earnings Beat Expectations: Why Does Wall Street Only Look at 7894 Points?
US Q2 earnings season delivered impressive results. S&P 500 constituent Q2 earnings grew 31% YoY, far exceeding early-year expectations; overall earnings beat expectations by 7.4%, with over 90% of reporting companies showing earnings growth.
Wall Street strategists have raised the year-end S&P 500 average target to 7894 points. But 7894 points implies only about 1% upside from the current historical high — full-year earnings growth expectations have been raised from 15% to 27%, but valuation expansion space is fully priced in. For the index to reach new highs, it requires continuous "outperformance" rather than steady "meeting expectations."
📊 ETF Buying Reversal: BTC Leverage Positions Reaccumulate
Bitcoin ETF fund flows are highly volatile. From August 3 to 7, US spot BTC and ETH ETFs had a combined net inflow of about $1.1 billion, with Bitcoin ETFs net inflow of $865 million, ending eight consecutive weeks of outflows. But buying did not sustain — from August 10 to 14, Bitcoin ETFs saw net outflows of about $329 million, with buying coming fast and going fast.
More noteworthy is leverage. CryptoQuant data shows Bitcoin futures open interest surged by $2 billion in the second week of August, with leveraged longs rapidly rebuilding positions. If Bitcoin falls below $58,500, a large number of leveraged positions may trigger forced liquidations. Buying reversal and leverage buildup are not signals of trend confirmation but signs of intensified long-short battles.
💎 Summary
Three events paint the same picture: consumption retreats, earnings surge, leverage gambles — weak consumption data and sticky inflation create a macro-level "stagflation" dilemma; earnings beats and narrow target price range create valuation contradictions in US stock pricing; ETF buying reversal and futures leverage rebuilding create tension in crypto market battles. No rate cuts, no daring hikes, earnings rising, leverage accumulating — the market is pricing the second half of 2026 in the most divided way. #消费动能转弱,9月政策仍受通胀制约
#标普盈利超预期,华尔街为何仅看7894点
#ETF买盘反转,BTC杠杆仓位回升 As the stablecoin market size breaks historical highs, the core contradiction for $CRCL lies in whether the expansion speed of non-crypto settlement liquidity can offset the reserve yield contraction caused by interest rate cuts.
Currently, on-chain capital flows are undergoing structural differentiation. Traditional crypto speculative capital flows are slowing down, but the scale of 7×24-hour settled funds around corporate cross-border payments and on-chain US Treasury settlements continues to rise. This type of capital is less sensitive to crypto market fluctuations and highly dependent on redemption channels and compliance depth.
The factors driving the valuation of stablecoin issuers have been reordered. The efficiency of capital settlement in non-crypto trading scenarios ranks first, the exchange capacity of compliant channels ranks second, and lastly is the trading volume performance in the crypto secondary market. Stablecoins are gradually detaching from a single chip attribute.
Upside scenario: If in the coming quarters, stablecoins maintain an annualized growth rate of over 15% in daily processing volume within non-crypto payments and corporate settlement fields, and the scale of reserve fund deposits remains high, $CRCL will gain a valuation premium beyond pure crypto cycles. The variable to watch is the proportion of USDC’s non-crypto deposits in enterprise-level interfaces. When a 50 basis point yield erosion from rate cuts fails to suppress total holdings growth, it proves the establishment of independent settlement demand.
Downside scenario: If the Federal Reserve enters a continuous rate-cutting cycle causing interest income to shrink by more than 20%, while regulators worldwide raise compliance and redemption qualification thresholds, increasing friction in compliant liquidity, issuers will face dual pressure on profits and capital inflows/outflows. The observation variable is the synchronicity between reserve asset yields and redemption outflow speed. Once capital accelerates diversion to high-yield risky assets, the premium logic of settlement infrastructure will be undermined.
Invalidation condition: If stablecoin payment flows revert to being driven solely by market volatility, and non-crypto settlement scale declines by more than 10% for two consecutive weeks, the assumption of detachment from bull and bear cycles fails.
Key variables to watch in the next 7 days: net capital inflow scale in enterprise-level on-chain channels, and bid-ask spread changes in compliant liquidity pools under high-frequency redemption tests.

The S&P 500's earnings have caught up with its valuation.
The Q2 earnings season for the S&P 500 is shaping up to be the most important set of earnings expectations for the U.S. stock market this year. As of early August, about 90% of the component stocks have reported earnings, with 86% of companies beating analyst EPS estimates, higher than the five-year average of about 78%, and the overall earnings surprise magnitude reaching 29.2%. FactSet's statistics show that the blended year-over-year earnings growth for Q2 has risen to around 50%, the highest level since Q2 2021.
This growth needs to be analyzed in detail. Investment gains from companies like Alphabet and Amazon have significantly boosted the index's profits; excluding these two companies, Q2 earnings growth still reached about 29%, indicating that earnings improvement has broad strength. Meanwhile, AI infrastructure companies contributed about half of the S&P 500's EPS growth, and the median company's EPS also grew about 14% year-over-year, showing that corporate earnings are continuing to catch up with the previously rapid stock price increases.
Valuations have thus partially digested the earnings. The latest data shows the S&P 500's forward 12-month P/E ratio is about 20x, and the full-year 2026 earnings growth forecast has risen to 30%. The index is currently near historical highs; whether it can continue to push above 8000 points depends on whether earnings growth can extend into 2027 and whether AI capital expenditures can continue to translate into revenue and profits for cloud computing, chip, storage, and software companies.
$SPY $XSPY Just past this week, the market gave two quite interesting answers. The first is inflation: July CPI year-on-year was 3.4%, core CPI year-on-year was 2.5%; PPI month-on-month was 0%, at least there was no "inflation spiraling out of control" that the market feared most. The second is that July retail sales dropped 0.6% month-on-month, the first decline in nine months. So now the contradiction in the US economy is that inflation has not continued to worsen, but consumers are starting to struggle. And next week happens to be a week to verify this issue. On Tuesday, first look at US industrial production and Home Depot. Industrial production shows how the real manufacturing sector is doing. Home Depot is more interesting. Buying a bottle of cola or having a meal might cost a few dozen dollars. But renovating a house, replacing appliances, buying building materials often costs hundreds or even thousands of dollars. If consumers start to pull back on such large discretionary spending, it is usually more worrisome than buying one less drink. Combined with the fact that real estate is still suppressed by high interest rates recently, Home Depot's earnings report is very suitable for observing the real state of the American middle-class families. Wednesday is the most important day next week. Target, Lowe's, and Analog Devices will all release earnings, and the Federal Reserve will publish the July FOMC meeting minutes. This meeting minutes are not particularly worth heavy attention because it describes the Federal Reserve at the end of July. And now we already know more: employment is starting to weaken, CPI has not continued to worsen, PPI month-on-month is 0, and retail sales suddenly declined again.CPI Cooling Didn't Ignite a Bull Market: Behind $BTC's Sideways Movement, Funds Are Quietly Switching Tracks In July, the US CPI year-on-year fell to 3.4%, and the core CPI dropped to 2.5%. From a purely macro narrative perspective, this should have been a set of data relatively friendly to risk assets: inflation continues to cool, the necessity for further monetary policy tightening decreases, and market expectations for subsequent liquidity improvement naturally rise. However, the crypto market's response was lukewarm. As of August 16 data, $BTC still oscillates around $63,000, and the price has not quickly broken through due to the CPI cooling; $ETH remains relatively strong above $3,000, some altcoins have started independent rallies, but the overall market is far from a broad rally. This is actually more noteworthy than a simple rise. Because when a market faces positive news but no longer collectively rises, it often means the trading logic is changing: the importance of macro Beta begins to decline, and funds truly enter a phase of asset selection. The current question is no longer "Can rate cuts bring a bull market?" but: Who exactly is the next incremental capital willing to buy? After the positive news is realized, why is $BTC still unable to move? The initial reaction after the CPI release was not bad; $BTC once surged quickly but then fell back. This trend indicates one thing: the inflation data indeed reduced macro tail risks but is still insufficient to be the core force driving $BTC to break through the $64,000–$65,000 resistance zone. In other words, the market has already priced in part of it in advance.📊 $OKB Contract Liquidation Update (August 17)
According to liquidation data, the market maker played a textbook-level "short-term full squeeze → long-term full short squeeze" harvesting strategy on OKB, switching directions decisively, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $74,600.
Time Total Liquidation Long Liquidation Short Liquidation
1 hour $714.07 $0 $714.07
4 hours $714.07 $0 $714.07
12 hours $714.07 $0 $714.07
24 hours $74,600 $73,900 $714.07
From the $OKB liquidation data, short liquidations crushed longs within 1 hour, completely wiping out long positions. The squeeze unfolded in a textbook manner but with a very small scale—$714.07, a typical small-scale probe; at 4 hours, shorts continued to crush longs, longs still fully wiped out, squeeze intensity maintained but volume unchanged at $714.07. Shorts controlled the short-term market but remained inactive; at 12 hours, shorts continued to dominate, longs still fully wiped out, squeeze continued but volume unchanged at $714.07—shorts maintained control for 12 hours, continuously crushing longs; at 24 hours, the direction completely reversed, long liquidations crushed shorts, longs were 103 times the shorts. The market maker completed a fierce turnaround from squeeze to short squeeze, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $74,600—completing a perfect harvesting path of "short-term buildup squeeze → long-term full short squeeze" on OKB. Shorts probed with small volume and remained inactive in the short term, while longs took over the game at 24 hours with 103 times the intensity to harvest fully, a textbook example of "nurture first, then kill." Everyone should control their positions carefully to avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: OKB’s short-term squeeze (1H/4H/12H) and 24-hour short squeeze form a sharp directional switch; the switch is extremely intense. The 24-hour liquidation volume accounts for 99% of the total daily volume, with very high concentration. Leverage is recommended to be compressed to within 3x; do not blindly bottom-fish, strictly control positions and wait for clear direction.

#ETF买盘反转,BTC杠杆仓位回升 Amid BTC sideways movement, capital has already tilted towards 'profit generation.' Is the current flow of funds a selective concentration into specific sectors rather than a reduction in risk appetite? Today's market appears calm on the surface. BTC is up 0.15% over 24 hours, hovering around $63,000; ETH is at $1,880; SOL is at $75, each fluctuating by only 0.24% and 0.36%, respectively. The total market capitalization is about $2.25 trillion, down 0.03%, essentially flat. However, the internal structure is not calm. Among the top 100 market cap coins, 59 declined while only 41 rose. Nearly 60% of coins showing weakness indicates that while the index is sideways, capital is flowing selectively in certain directions. The key lies in the nature of the rising assets. The PerpDEX sector rose 1.79%, DeFAI 1.14%, and DeFi 1.03%. Representative tokens include HYPE up 2.32% and LINK up 1.76%. These are all revenue-generating protocols that produce actual fees and trading volume. Fundamental Research Report $FLOW / Flow (Public Chain/L1) $3.20

#FundamentalResearchReport #Crypto #Research #OKXOrbitA new on-chain record just broke: over 3.56 million BTC have not moved for more than 10 years, accounting for 17.7% of the circulating supply. But among these 3.56 million BTC, there are truly lost coins, coins held dead silent without selling, and actively locked coins — the chain can't distinguish them, but the result is the same: the effective circulating supply that can actually be dumped is only about 16 to 17.5 million BTC.
On one side, retail investors cut losses after a 20% drop and chase highs after a 30% rise, repeatedly flipping coins; on the other side, the decade-long dormant coins continue to increase net every month. Satoshi Nakamoto said early on: lost coins make others' coins more valuable. Time favors those who hold still, and the market punishes the itchy-handed with scarcity. $BTC🚨 $865M OF BTC ETF INFLOWS — SO WHY IS BTC STILL AROUND $63K?
This is where the market gets interesting.
Bitcoin ETFs reportedly absorbed roughly $865M over five sessions, while Ethereum ETFs attracted another $244M.
Yet:
$BTC remains near $63K
$ETH remains below $2K
So why isn't price responding more aggressively?
One possible explanation is hedged institutional positioning.
Spot ETF purchases don't necessarily represent pure directional longs. Institutions can pair spot exposure with futures positions, using CME contracts to hedge or structure market-neutral trades.
That creates a situation where:
🏦 Spot buying → supports demand
⚡ Futures positioning → offsets directional exposure
📊 Price → remains compressed
In other words, large ETF inflows don't automatically guarantee a rally.
The technical picture also deserves caution.
A clean head-and-shoulders breakdown hasn't been confirmed. With BTC still trapped in a compressed range, a downside liquidity sweep could occur before the market chooses its real direction.
The key zones:
🔻 $61K → potential liquidity sweep
🟠 $58K–$60K → deeper downside area
🚀 $63K–$65K → reclaim zone
The bigger catalysts remain macro and regulation:
🏦 Fed policy expectations
⚖️ CLARITY Act progress
💰 ETF flow reversal
📈 A confirmed BTC breakout
Until one of those catalysts changes the balance, the market may continue frustrating both bulls and bears.
Sometimes heavy buying doesn't create an immediate rally.
It creates a compressed market waiting for the hedge to unwind. 👀

#WeakConsumptionFedSplit #BTCETFsVsLeverage Weekend market, dead calm
$BTC hovered around 63000 all day, with a high of 64000 and a low of 62500, swinging back and forth in between
EMA50 is at 63715, EMA200 at 63691, both moving averages pressing tightly. Bollinger Bands are narrowing, upper band at 63500 and lower band at 62770. Bulls and bears are both holding back, no one making the first move
Monday new week opening, let's see if it can hold above 63600
If it breaks through, then 64400-64950 is next; if not, it will continue to grind between 62500-63000. Low liquidity on the weekend, don't expect an effective breakout
CPI and PPI both cooperated, but BTC just didn't rise 🥹
Inflation is cooling down, the probability of a rate hike dropped to 32.4%, which should be positive, but BTC not only didn't rise, it slightly retreated. Why? Spot demand is too weak, Coinbase Premium remains negative, and trading volume has dropped to the lowest since 2019

I'm bullish but won't chase. Will wait for direction to emerge before acting On August 14, during a speech in Long Island, New York, Trump suddenly made a harsh statement: after completely defeating Iran, he would soon declare the Strait of Hormuz as belonging to the United States. By August 15, the storyline took a different turn. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Iran had reached an arrangement with Oman regarding the passage through the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing specifically that the entire negotiation process did not involve the United States. One side says, "I will take control of this strait," while the other says, "I have already negotiated with neighboring countries, and it has nothing to do with you." The same sea area, two completely different narratives. What Trump really wants is probably not just a "territorial declaration." As early as August 12, he claimed on social media that the United States had full control over the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran was powerless against it. Two days later, his statements escalated further. What is even more noteworthy is that he said that compared to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, rising oil prices were only a secondary issue. The logic behind this statement is actually very clear: energy prices can be tolerated, but the political "victory narrative" cannot be lost. For Trump, the Strait of Hormuz is not only an energy channel but also a card that can be packaged as a political achievement. Defeating Iran, controlling the strait, and safeguarding U.S. interests—once these words form a complete narrative, they can send a simple signal to domestic voters: I solved the problem and am tougher than others. As for whether the United States can truly control the Strait of Hormuz, that is not the part political rhetoric cares about most. Iran's response, on the other hand, follows a completely different logic. IranIf you want to hold the core assets of AI,
SK Hynix is the top choice for a base position;
If you are optimistic about the success of SanDisk's business model transformation,
you can allocate some SanDisk as an aggressive position;
Micron is more suitable for players with a very high risk tolerance who are willing to bet on valuation reshaping.
One last reminder, all three have seen significant gains recently,
and chasing the highs carries risks.
If you plan to buy, it is recommended to closely monitor the pace of HBM capacity release and NAND spot prices,
as these two are the indicators that will determine their subsequent trends. What really makes me feel that stablecoins are starting to change is not that USDT and USDC are growing larger in scale, but that more and more people are beginning to treat "dollars in bank accounts" and "dollars on-chain" as two completely different experiences.
In the past, holding $USDT or USDC basically had one purpose: waiting to buy BTC, ETH, or SOL. When the market was bad, you would convert to U to hide, and when the market came back, you would jump back in. Stablecoins were more like chips in a crypto casino, not really worth discussing on their own. But now this positioning is clearly changing. Payment, cross-border transfers, RWA settlement, and on-chain US Treasury bonds are all starting to build infrastructure around stablecoins. They are evolving from "money waiting to buy coins" into money that can truly be used independently.
The truly scary part of this is actually 24/7 availability.
In the traditional banking system, money seems to belong to you, but when it really moves cross-border, it still has to go through business hours, intermediary banks, clearing networks, and various audits. Stablecoins offer a completely different experience. Whether it's Sunday afternoon or 3 a.m., as long as the chain is running, USDT and USDC can keep moving. For traders, this has long been normal, but if you change the scenario to a company that needs to settle cross-border payments every day, this difference is huge.
So I increasingly feel that the biggest competitor to USDT and USDC in the future might not be each other, but bank deposits.
This is also why $CRCL is worth watching. If Circle only issues USDC and then earns interest from reserve assets, this business is actually easy to calculate: the more USDC, the more profit, but as interest rates fall, profit pressure becomes more obvious. But if USDC gradually enters payment, corporate settlement, RWA, and even more traditional financial scenarios, Circle is not just competing to be the second largest stablecoin in crypto, but is competing for the position of "the internet's default dollar."
Tether is taking a different path. USDT's biggest advantage is not how much Wall Street likes it, but that users in many places already directly use it as dollars. Especially in markets where local currencies are unstable and dollar accounts are hard to obtain, having USDT in a mobile wallet solves a very real need.
This is much bigger than "when the next altcoin season will come."
Because the BTC bull market can end, the Meme hype around SOL will fade, but companies need to pay every day, ordinary people need to transfer money every day, and global trade needs to settle every day. If stablecoins ultimately capture these demands, their growth logic will start to decouple from crypto bull and bear cycles.
Of course, the real risk also starts here. The more stablecoins resemble bank accounts, the higher the regulatory requirements for reserves, redemptions, compliance, and payments will be. In the past, people only used USDT to trade crypto, so problems affected the crypto market; but if hundreds of billions or even more real economic activities run on stablecoins in the future, they will have become financial infrastructure.
So the true sign of stablecoin success may not be how much market cap USDT or USDC has gained.
But one day when BTC falls, ETH is not discussed, altcoin season doesn't come, yet stablecoin payment and settlement volumes continue to grow.
That is when crypto truly creates something that doesn't need a bull market but that people must use.

According to liquidation data, the whale completed a one-sided long squeeze on BCH from short to long cycles. Shorts were continuously crushed in the short cycle, while longs took full control starting from the 4-hour mark, with total liquidations exceeding $28,900.
Time Total Liquidation Long Liquidation Short Liquidation
1 hour $0 $0 $0
4 hours $891.46 $815.80 $75.66
12 hours $966.49 $815.80 $150.69
24 hours $28,900 $27,900 $1,016.81
From the $BCH liquidation data, the 1-hour long and short liquidations are zero, showing complete silence in the short cycle; at 4 hours, long liquidations overwhelmingly surpass shorts by 10.8 times, triggering a nuclear-level long squeeze with liquidation volume jumping from 0 to $891; at 12 hours, longs continue to dominate at 5.4 times the shorts, with the long squeeze momentum significantly weakening and liquidation volume rising moderately to $966; at 24 hours, longs still dominate with $27,900 in liquidations versus $1,016 for shorts, a 27.5 times ratio—the whale executed a perfect path on BCH: "short cycle remains inactive → mid cycle tests long squeeze → long cycle full harvest," with short cycle silence, ignition at 4 hours, direction confirmation at 12 hours, and full harvest at 24 hours with 27 times intensity, totaling liquidations over $28,900. This is a textbook example of a one-sided long squeeze. Everyone should manage positions carefully to avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: Long liquidations on BCH dominate shorts across all cycles with highly consistent direction, but 24-hour liquidations account for 96% of the daily total, showing extreme concentration. Leverage is recommended to be compressed below 3x. Do not blindly bottom-fish; strictly control positions and wait for clear direction.

Today's three hot topics point to the same theme: macro signals are fragmented, and the market is undergoing a "data conflict" pricing reconstruction—consumption is retreating, earnings are surging, and leverage is gambling.
📉 Consumption Momentum Weakens: Rate Hike Probability Plummets, but Inflation Remains a "Tightening Spell"
US consumer side continuously signals cooling. July retail sales fell 0.6% month-over-month, the largest drop in 14 months, far below the expected 0.1% growth; core retail also declined 0.6%, missing expectations. The rapid decline in consumption momentum echoes the unexpected negative July nonfarm payrolls—labor market and consumer spending "double decline" are reinforcing each other.
However, inflation stickiness still restricts policy space. July CPI rose 3.4% year-over-year, core CPI 2.5%; PPI dropped to 4.7% year-over-year, but service costs hit the largest annual increase, so inflation cooling is not a straight line down. CME data shows September rate hike probability has dropped to about 33%, sharply contrasting with the 12% low after June CPI release—the market's inflation concerns have never truly faded. The pause is not because it's enough, but because of fear to act.
📈 S&P Earnings Beat Expectations: Why Is Wall Street Only Eyeing 7894 Points?
US Q2 earnings season delivered impressive results. S&P 500 constituents' Q2 earnings grew 31% year-over-year, far exceeding early-year expectations; overall earnings beat expectations by 7.4%, with over 90% of reporting companies showing earnings growth.
📊 ETF Buying Reversal: BTC Leverage Positions Reaccumulate
Bitcoin ETF fund flows are highly volatile. From August 3 to 7, US spot BTC and ETH ETFs had a combined net inflow of about $1.1 billion, with Bitcoin ETFs netting $865 million, ending eight consecutive weeks of outflows. But buying did not sustain—August 10 to 14 saw Bitcoin ETFs net outflow about $329 million, with buying coming fast and going fast.
Buying reversal and leverage buildup are not signals of trend confirmation but signs of intensified long-short battles.

The key issue isn’t that AI is “dead”—it’s position concentration and a sharp style reversal.
AI, semiconductor and storage names faced heavy selling, forcing crowded trades to unwind.
For crypto, the message is simple: liquidity is still rotating, and even sophisticated players can face major drawdowns.
Short-term valuations may need to reset, but the broader AI infrastructure thesis isn’t necessarily broken.

First, it peaked right at launch; the bull market inflated the valuation to the sky. DFINITY claimed it would take down AWS and Google Cloud, but the promise was too big and the product didn’t deliver
Second, early investors dumped as soon as their tokens unlocked, low-price chips were sold off frantically, and the ecosystem didn’t keep up

According to liquidation data, the whale on SOL executed a textbook short squeeze from short to long cycles, with bears controlling the market from the 1-hour mark and total liquidations exceeding $250,000.
Time Total Liquidation Long Liquidation Short Liquidation
1 hour $55,400 $0 $55,400
4 hours $57,000 $764.34 $56,300
12 hours $154,100 $89,900 $64,200
24 hours $250,600 $116,100 $134,500
From the $SOL liquidation data, 1-hour bear liquidations crushed the bulls, completely wiping out long positions. The short squeeze unfolded with nuclear-level intensity, with $55,400 liquidated—bears dominated the short cycle, bulls were thoroughly crushed; at 4 hours, bears continued to dominate, with bear liquidations 73.6 times that of bulls, maintaining extreme short squeeze pressure. Liquidations slightly rose from $55,400 to $57,000, with bears continuing to harvest; at 12 hours, bears still held the advantage, 1.4 times the bulls, but short squeeze momentum sharply weakened, liquidations surged to $154,100, and bulls and bears began to balance; at 24 hours, direction weakened sharply, with bear liquidations at $134,500 versus bull liquidations at $116,100, bears only slightly exceeding bulls by 1.16 times, and short squeeze energy nearly exhausted—the whale completed the full path on SOL of "full-force short squeeze in short cycles → balanced bulls and bears in long cycles," with short-cycle bears aggressively harvesting and long-cycle bulls and bears returning to balance. This is a textbook case of directional exhaustion, with short squeeze momentum collapsing from 73 times down to nearly zero, bulls resisting stubbornly, and direction possibly reversing at any time. Everyone should manage positions carefully to avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: Bears have continuously crushed bulls in all SOL cycles (24-hour bulls and bears nearly balanced), but the ratio from 4H to 24H narrowed from 73.6 times to 1.16 times, indicating sharp short squeeze momentum exhaustion and a very high risk of directional reversal; 12-hour and 24-hour liquidations account for 98% of the daily total, showing high concentration. Leverage is recommended to be compressed to within 3x, avoid blindly shorting, and strictly control positions while waiting for clear direction.

#DailyOrbit @OKX中文 📊 $XRP Contract Liquidation Update (August 17)
According to liquidation data, the whale played a textbook-level harvesting strategy on XRP: "short-term full-force short squeeze → mid-term direction switch → long-term full-force long liquidation." After repeated direction changes, the bulls took full control within 24 hours, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $200,000.
Time Total Liquidations Long Liquidations Short Liquidations
1 hour $17,000 $0 $17,000
4 hours $25,000 $731.40 $24,200
12 hours $61,500 $37,200 $24,300
24 hours $203,000 $161,100 $41,900
From the $XRP liquidation data, short liquidations dominated long liquidations in the 1-hour period, with longs completely wiped out. The short squeeze unfolded with nuclear-level intensity, with liquidations at $17,000—shorts strongly controlling the short-term field; at 4 hours, shorts continued to dominate, outnumbering longs by 33 times. Although the short squeeze intensity slightly weakened, it remained strong, with liquidations rising from $17,000 to $25,000—shorts kept harvesting, and longs were continuously crushed; at 12 hours, the direction completely reversed, with long liquidations surpassing shorts by 1.53 times. The whale completed a fierce turnaround from short squeeze to long liquidation, with liquidations soaring to $61,500—bulls began to take over the game; at 24 hours, bulls continued to dominate, with long liquidations at $161,100 versus shorts at $41,900, a ratio of 3.84 times. The long liquidation momentum significantly increased—the whale completed a perfect three-stage harvesting on XRP: "short squeeze → direction switch → full-force long liquidation." Short-term shorts frantically squeezed, mid-term direction switched, and long-term bulls fully took over to harvest, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $200,000. This is a textbook-level double kill of bulls and bears, with repeated direction changes and bulls ultimately winning. Everyone, control your positions well and avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: XRP multi-timeframe direction repeatedly switches (1H/4H short squeeze → 12H long liquidation → 24H intensified long liquidation), with extremely violent direction changes; 24-hour liquidations account for 94% of the daily total, showing very high concentration. Leverage is recommended to be compressed to within 3x, avoid chasing highs or selling lows, strictly control positions, and wait for clear direction.

#ETF买盘反转,BTC杠杆仓位回升 IBIT consumed 81% of the August ETF inflows, $69.3B (Note: the original $693M actually means 693 million). What does this indicate? It shows that this round of institutional entry is highly concentrated, with BlackRock calling the shots. Concentration has its benefits—stable liquidity; but also risks—if they pull out, it triggers systemic selling pressure. I follow the big money but don’t go all in. Do you believe BlackRock can support the market this time? $BTC Who is buying? Who is selling?
Institutional side releases clear warming signals. As of the week of August 15, the combined net inflow of $BTC + $ETH spot ETFs was about $1.1 billion, reversing a half-year outflow trend. BlackRock's IBIT accounted for 80% of BTC inflows, ETH has had net inflows for five consecutive weeks, with a single week inflow of $245 million hitting a nearly four-month high. JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley's Q2 holdings show ETH ETF positions surged 200% quarter-over-quarter, with leading institutions incorporating crypto assets into their core allocation pools.
However, on the other side of the coin, the AI sector continues to divert hot money from the market. A large amount of capital is shifting from crypto positions to AI tech stocks, with straightforward logic: AI has revenue and practical application scenarios, offering higher growth certainty. This outflow force is the key suppressing factor preventing BTC from breaking through the $60,000-$65,000 range for a long time.
The roles of BTC and ETH have also completely diverged. BTC is currently priced around $63,452, anchored to the "digital gold" narrative, with stable buying; ETH is priced around $1,866, likened by institutions to a "tech growth stock," with valuation tied to ecosystem activity, Pectra upgrade expectations, and RWA narratives. Although the Q2 ETHE trust saw an outflow of $583 million, recent inflow intensity has surpassed BTC, showing remarkable elasticity and greater volatility.
Compliant ETFs are flowing back into both coins, AI is siphoning off and suppressing major rallies, BTC is holding the bottom while ETH charges forward. The big bull market still awaits.

So many experts in the comments are advising me not to touch LAB, and there are even eighteen layers of basements below.
But I stubbornly didn't listen. After seeing it consolidate for a few days, my heart started itching again. I thought, "It's 0.12 now, it should have bottomed out," and in a moment of heat, I bought in again. And what happened? It kept falling and falling, now at 0.08, not even catching a breath! The regret is unbearable, I wish I could slap myself twice!
Insiders control over 95% of the effective circulating supply. An address related to the team took more than 196 million LAB from the team in April, and starting July 10th, began dumping crazily on exchanges, selling 18.5 million LAB in two days, directly pushing the price down from $1.2 to $0.55, a 54% drop. That address still holds 81.5 million LAB unsold!
Even scarier, there are massive unlocks in July and August. About 282 million LAB will be unlocked on August 14th, accounting for nearly 90% of the circulating supply. Someone who spent $5,000 last year in the public sale made $5.6 million at the peak price, but after unlocking, the token value shrank by 99.94%, leaving only $3,219! A coin that dropped from $27 to $0.08, a 99.7% drop, what hope is there?
I'm now staring at that 0.08 number, my hand on the close position button, hurting to cut losses but afraid it will keep falling if I don't. Market makers, be human, stop dumping! Sisters, is there still hope for this LAB? Tell me in the comments! 🧋💀

#标普盈利超预期,华尔街为何仅看7894点 The current capital market game around SanDisk (SNDK) essentially represents a fierce clash between "AI structural incremental growth" and the "traditional cyclical fate."
The long position is based on a focus on business model transformation and AI dividends. SanDisk is shifting from "spot market speculation" to "long-term agreements (NBM)," having locked in over $93 billion in guaranteed minimum revenue with 8 customers, covering more than half of future capacity and significantly smoothing out cyclical fluctuations. Meanwhile, the explosion in AI inference demand is reshaping data center storage architecture, and SanDisk is precisely positioned with enterprise-grade SSDs and high-bandwidth flash (HBF) technology. Coupled with its ultra-high gross margin of 84.6%, zero debt, and a 100% excess cash buyback commitment, many Wall Street institutions are optimistic about its transformation into an AI infrastructure supplier and have raised their target prices.
The short position points directly to the commodity nature and the risk of a cycle peak. Institutions like Citron note that NAND flash lacks an absolute technological moat like Nvidia, and the current supply tightness is only a temporary phenomenon; the industry will eventually return to the "boom-overcapacity-collapse" cycle. Additionally, giants like Samsung are concentrating advanced capacity on high-end SSDs, intensifying competitive threats; and the former parent company Western Digital's previous discounted sell-off is seen as a warning signal of a cycle peak. SanDisk's current valuation has already priced in optimistic expectations, and if end demand slows or capacity is released in concentration, the high valuation will face severe tests.
(Note: The above information is compiled based on publicly available market data and does not constitute any investment advice. The capital market changes rapidly; investment requires caution.)The gentlest bear market in history, bar none
Dropped 87% in 2013-15, 84% in 2017-18, 77% in 2021-22. This round fell from 126,000 to 63,000, a damn 50% drop
Fidelity also said this pullback is shallower than any previous one; the market is maturing. Before, it was often 80%, this time a halving is about it. It’s not that the coin is failing, volatility is contracting
More importantly, the timing. The peak was in October 2025, and it’s been 312 days since. The bottom of the past three bear markets appeared 12-13 months after the peak — the window is October to November 2026, less than two months left
Some might say, “Can’t I just buy when the bottom arrives?” — yes, but are you sure you can buy at the lowest point? The 2018 bottom was $3,200, how many waited for $2,500 and missed it. The 2022 bottom was $15,500, how many waited for $10,000 and missed it. By the time you “confirm the bottom,” the price is no longer at the bottom
Smart money is already moving. In the first week of August, ETFs handled $850 million, last week BTC and ETH ETFs combined net inflow was $1.1 billion, ending net outflows since 2026. BlackRock alone took 80%. The whales haven’t been idle either — since mid-June, they’ve accumulated 54,000 BTC
A 50% pullback, 312 days of waiting, $1.1 billion ETF inflow, 54,000 BTC whale accumulation — when these four things happen simultaneously, it’s usually not time to panic 📊 $SUI Contract Liquidation Express (August 17)
According to liquidation data, the whale played a textbook-level "short-term squeeze probe → mid-to-long-term full-scale long liquidation" harvesting strategy on SUI, switching directions decisively, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $58,100.
Time Total Liquidation Long Liquidation Short Liquidation
1 hour $10.20 $0 $10.20
4 hours $4,707.38 $0 $4,707.38
12 hours $11,000 $6,234.96 $4,772.31
24 hours $58,100 $53,400 $4,772.31
From the $SUI liquidation data, short liquidations crushed longs in the 1-hour window, with longs completely wiped out; the squeeze unfolded in textbook fashion but with a very small scale—$10.20, a typical small probe; in 4 hours shorts continued to crush longs, longs still fully wiped out, the squeeze intensity exploded at a nuclear level, with liquidation volume jumping from $10.20 to $4,707.38—shorts started to exert force, longs were directly crushed; at 12 hours the direction completely reversed, long liquidations crushed shorts, longs were 1.3 times shorts, the whale completed a fierce turnaround from squeeze to long liquidation, with liquidation volume soaring to $11,000—longs began to take over the game; at 24 hours longs continued to crush shorts, long liquidations at $53,400 versus shorts at $4,772.31, longs were 11.2 times shorts, the long liquidation momentum exploded at a nuclear level—the whale completed a perfect harvesting path on SUI of "short-term squeeze probe → mid-to-long-term full long liquidation," with short-term shorts probing lightly and holding position, longs taking over from 12 hours, and full harvesting at 11 times intensity at 24 hours, with cumulative liquidations exceeding $58,100. A textbook case of "first nurture, then kill." Everyone should control their positions carefully to avoid being harvested back and forth.
⚠️ Risk Warning: SUI shows a sharp directional switch between short-term squeeze (1H/4H) and mid-to-long-term long liquidation (12H/24H), with extremely decisive direction changes and 24-hour long liquidation intensity surging to 11 times; 12H+24H liquidations account for 99% of the total daily volume, showing very high concentration. Leverage is recommended to be compressed to within 3x, avoid blindly bottom-fishing, and strictly control positions while waiting for clear direction.

The rapid decline in consumption momentum echoes the unexpected negative July nonfarm payrolls—the "double decline" in labor market and consumer spending is reinforcing each other.
But inflation stickiness still locks policy space. July CPI year-over-year was 3.4%, core CPI 2.5%; PPI year-over-year dropped to 4.7%, but service costs hit the largest increase of the year, so inflation cooling is not a straight downward trend. CME data shows September rate hike probability has dropped to about 33%, sharply contrasting with the roughly 12% low after June CPI release—the market's inflation concerns have never truly faded. No action is not because it's enough, but because of fear to act.
📈 S&P Earnings Exceed Expectations: Why Does Wall Street Only Look at 7894 Points?
US Q2 earnings season delivered impressive results. S&P 500 constituent Q2 earnings grew 31% year-over-year, far exceeding early-year expectations; overall earnings beat expectations by 7.4%, with over 90% of companies reporting earnings growth.
Wall Street strategists have raised the year-end average target for the S&P 500 to 7894 points. But 7894 points implies only about 1% upside from the current historical high—the full-year earnings growth forecast has been raised from 15% to 27%, but valuation expansion space is fully priced in. For the index to reach new highs, it requires continuous "outperformance" rather than steady progress "in line with expectations."
📊 ETF Buying Reversal: BTC Leverage Positions Reaccumulate
Bitcoin ETF fund flows are highly volatile. From August 3 to 7, US spot BTC and ETH ETFs had a combined net inflow of about $1.1 billion, with Bitcoin ETFs net inflow at $865 million, ending eight consecutive weeks of outflows. But buying did not sustain—August 10 to 14 saw Bitcoin ETFs net outflow about $329 million, with buying coming fast and going fast.
💎 Summary
Three events paint the same picture: consumption retreats, earnings surge, leverage gambles—the weakness in consumption data and inflation stickiness form a macro-level "stagflation" dilemma; the earnings beat and narrow target price range create a valuation contradiction in US stock pricing; ETF buying reversal and futures leverage rebuilding form the tension of the crypto market game. No rate cuts, no daring hikes, earnings rising, leverage building—the market is pricing the second half of 2026 in the most divided way. #消费动能转弱,9月政策仍受通胀制约

#ETF买盘反转,BTC杠杆仓位回升 The weekend is really boring, with just a little fluctuation
Better to go to bed early and see how the market performs tomorrow
$ETH has been moving sideways around 1880 for a while, with decreasing volume; it's not very meaningful to keep watching this kind of market
Keep holding short positions, eat and drink well, and rest up to prepare for Monday
But what's more worth watching now is how this sideways movement will end
If tomorrow sees a volume breakout below 1875, it means the consolidation is starting to release downward; if it instead holds above 1890, the bearish outlook needs to be reassessed
$BTC is similar, after rebounding from 62500 it has been grinding near 63000, with no clear trend reversal yet
Whether it can effectively break through 63100–63200 is more important than the current 100–200 point fluctuations
Also, this BTC rebound hasn't pushed the highs higher; funds are more focused on repair rather than active attack
If it falls back below 63000 later, the probability of ETH's sideways movement breaking downward will also increase
Liquidity is thin on weekends, so many small fluctuations have no reference value
At times like this, doing less can actually save energy for the segment where a real direction emerges.

#ETF买盘反转,BTC杠杆仓位回升 The hotter RWA gets, the more $BTC looks like the collateral in the on-chain world that needs the least explanation.
The RWA sector is getting hotter and hotter, with government bonds, funds, stocks, real estate, and accounts receivable all wanting to go on-chain. This direction is huge because it brings real-world assets into the crypto system, making on-chain finance no longer just a closed loop within the crypto circle. But the more complex RWA becomes, the more $BTC's simplicity stands out.
RWA requires explaining many things: where the assets are, who the custodian is, how the returns come, what happens in case of default, how laws are enforced, and how on-chain tokens correspond to real-world rights. Every issue requires trusting an intermediary. $BTC is different; it has no real-world asset mapping, no issuer promises, it is the asset itself.
This is why $BTC is suitable to be the native collateral of the on-chain world. It does not generate income, but that does not mean it has no value; precisely because it does not require external cash flow explanations, it is easier to be universally understood worldwide. You don't need to know what a fund's underlying holdings are, nor do you need to trust a company's audit; you only need to trust the network rules and market liquidity.
Of course, $BTC is not a universal collateral. It is volatile, lending risks are high, and liquidation mechanisms need to be well designed. But in terms of "verifiable, transferable, globally liquid, no single issuer," it remains one of the strongest assets.
In the future, RWA will bring more real-world returns on-chain, stablecoins will bring more US dollars on-chain, and $BTC will be responsible for providing the purest on-chain hard asset. It does not compete with RWA stories; it provides a reference point as RWA becomes more complex.
The more assets need explanation, the more the value of $BTC that needs no explanation becomes apparent. Top Market Maker Giant Jane Street Suffers a Massive $15 Billion Monthly Loss: When AI Crowded Trades Collapse, Who Becomes the Liquidity Sacrifice?
A blockbuster news has shaken the global trading community on Wall Street.
Jane Street Capital, the super quant giant dominating global ETF market making and high-frequency options trading, reportedly lost about $15 billion in a single month recently on AI-themed trades, marking a rare monthly loss record for the firm in nearly a decade.
As one of the world’s top market makers with the strongest mathematician team and risk control models, why did Jane Street take such a heavy hit on the AI front?
The answer lies in four words: extreme crowding.
Over the past half year, global hedge funds, quant firms, and multi-strategy funds have almost all bet their risk exposures in the same direction—heavily long on Nvidia, custom chips, AI cloud computing, and power infrastructure, while shorting broad market indices or traditional software stocks to diversify via dispersion trades.
When every whale with tens of billions in assets is crammed into the same narrow cabin, even the slightest disturbance can turn into a disaster.
If a core giant’s earnings guidance falls even slightly short of expectations, or if the market doubts the ROI on hundreds of billions in capital expenditures, the quant risk control systems of these giants trigger stop-loss alarms almost simultaneously.
Even more terrifying is the cross-asset chain liquidation reaction.
Under Wall Street’s strict Value at Risk (VaR) management, when a trading giant suffers tens of billions in losses in one sector, they cannot just cut the losing AI positions—they must passively reduce overall leverage.
To quickly cover margin gaps, quant firms must indiscriminately sell the highest liquidity quality assets across the market, including their Bitcoin market-making base positions, U.S. Treasuries, and commodity holdings. This explains why crypto markets and high-beta assets often experience sudden liquidity flash crashes whenever Wall Street quant giants face drawdowns.
Jane Street’s massive loss has delivered a profound risk management lesson to the entire market. The AI narrative has officially moved from the initial blind valuation hype honeymoon phase into a brutal elimination round of institutional deleveraging and rigorous performance verification.
Seeing even Wall Street’s top quant giants suffer heavy losses on AI trades, will you continue to hold your AI concept stocks and crypto high-elasticity assets to the end, or will you take advantage of the rebound to reduce your asset load?

Consumption momentum weakens, September policies still constrained by inflation
Consumption has completely cooled off, yet US stocks hit new all-time highs! The biggest structural divergence in the current market
Currently, the global market shows a very fragmented and confusing scene: real economy data clearly weakens, but risk asset pricing moves in the opposite direction.
The latest US July retail data fully confirms: US consumption is officially cooling down, and the economy is marginally weakening.
1. Core data: consumption collapses beyond expectations
US July retail sales month-on-month -0.6%, market consensus was +0.1%, significantly below expectations by 0.7 percentage points, marking the largest single-month drop since May 2025.
And this is not a localized fluctuation, but a real demand contraction:
Core retail sales excluding autos and gasoline also turned negative, multi-category consumer spending declined simultaneously, consumption momentum visibly extinguished.
Remember, consumption accounts for 70% of US GDP, the absolute foundation of the US economy.
After this sharp retail decline, multiple institutions have started to revise down Q3 GDP growth forecasts; the US economic slowdown has shifted from "expectation" to "confirmed fact."
Combined with previously released CPI and PPI cooling across the board, and a sharp drop in Michigan consumer confidence in August, current macro signals are highly consistent:
Inflation receding, consumption weakening, economy cooling.
2. Magical divergence: the weaker the economy, the stronger US stocks
Fundamentals visibly cooling, but US stocks completely ignore recession concerns, showing a typical "bad news = good news" pattern.
The S&P 500 continues to surge, breaking through 7800 intraday, closing firmly at 7799, setting a new all-time high.
The core logic is straightforward:
The market is no longer pricing economic prosperity but the Federal Reserve's interest rate easing expectations.
Both economy and inflation weaken, directly locking the Fed's rate hike space.
Currently, the probability of a September rate hike is suppressed below 35%, completely removing the risk of further tightening of high rates.
For US tech stocks:
Weak economy → no rate hikes, no liquidity tightening → valuation pressure relieved
This is why despite fundamentals cooling, the index hits new highs.
3. The underlying logic of the complete divergence between US stocks and crypto
Under the same macro environment, US stocks rally while crypto bottoms out, showing a clear capital seesaw effect.
• US stocks: have already priced in expectations of "slowing rate hikes and liquidity easing," with capital concentrated in AI and tech growth, reaching new trend highs.
• Crypto market: a lagging risk asset, liquidity transmission delayed.
Currently, global existing funds prioritize returning to mature US stocks for safe-haven long positions; BTC lacks incremental buying, forced to bottom out passively, waiting for liquidity overflow.
In short:
Easing expectations save US stocks first; only after overflow will the crypto market rally.
4. Segment highlights: optical interconnect computing power continues to strengthen
Market structural trends remain clear, AI infrastructure sector continues strong.
Nokia surged nearly 15% this week, driven by explosive demand for AI data center optical interconnect.
In Q2, its optical network business revenue grew over 50% year-on-year, fully validating:
AI industry logic remains intact, market style shifted from speculative themes to real performance.
5. Final market conclusions
1. Short term: weakening consumption suppresses rate hikes, macro environment overall friendly to risk assets;
2. Medium term: economic cooling is a fact, expectations for prolonged high rates remain, market characterized by structural divergence;
3. Timing: US stocks have priced in easing benefits, crypto market is in a consolidation phase awaiting liquidity return.
Consumption cooling is not a crisis signal but a precursor to monetary policy shift.
Bad news hitting bottom is the end of the bearish phase; BTC currently lacks strong downward momentum, only missing a round of incremental buying return. $BTC $ETH $OKB 1.1 billion USD poured in, why does $BTC just not rise?
As of the week ending August 15, the combined net inflow of BTC and $ETH spot ETFs was about 1.1 billion USD — a clear signal of institutional sentiment reversal. BlackRock's IBIT accounted for 80% of Bitcoin inflows, while Ethereum has seen net inflows for five consecutive weeks, with a single-week inflow of 245 million USD hitting a nearly four-month high. JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley's 13F holdings documents provide ironclad evidence: ETH-ETHA holdings quadrupled quarter-over-quarter, and ETH ETF positions surged 200% — leading institutions have officially included crypto assets in their core allocation pools.
But don't celebrate too early.
On the other side of the market, an undeniable undercurrent is siphoning funds. The Wall Street Journal revealed that many individual investors and hedge funds are reducing crypto positions and shifting to AI tech stocks. The logic is solid — AI has visible revenue and practical industry applications, with higher growth certainty. As a result, Bitcoin is trapped in the $60,000–$65,000 range, unable to break through its all-time high. More critically, crypto platforms have launched AI stock derivatives, making cross-market capital switching nearly seamless, amplifying the seesaw effect infinitely.
In this capital game, the positioning of BTC and ETH has completely diverged —
Bitcoin is digital gold, the first choice for institutional entry. At the current price of $63,000 and a market cap of 1.27 trillion USD, buying demand is solid and gradually desensitized to negative news. Even though IBIT saw a net outflow of 2.9 billion USD in Q2, it has strongly reversed by mid-August.
Ethereum is a tech growth stock with remarkable elasticity. At $1,866 and a market cap of 227.4 billion USD, its valuation is tied to ecosystem upgrades and RWA tokenization of real-world assets. ETHE had a net outflow of 583 million USD in Q2, but recent inflows have even surpassed Bitcoin — institutions treat it as the "growth call option" of the crypto world.
Three layers of capital structure, three different battlefields: at the total volume level, compliant institutions return via ETFs benefiting both BTC and ETH; externally, the AI sector continuously diverts incremental funds, suppressing the overall major rally; internally, BTC is the ballast stone, ETH is the spearhead.
This is not a simple either-or choice but a multidimensional asset allocation game.
