The lesson is useful, but there’s one important distinction: historical bottoms only look obvious after the fact. When ETH was around $900 or SOL around $8, buying required accepting the possibility that prices could fall much further. The same was true during earlier cycles. The pattern worth learning isn't “buy whenever everyone is bearish.” It's: Extreme fear → capitulation → stabilization → improving fundamentals/liquidity → trend reversal. And history doesn't guarantee the same outcome every cycle. Crypto can remain depressed much longer than expected, and some individual tokens never recover their previous highs. So the better takeaway is: > Don't confuse pessimism with a bottom. Look for evidence that selling pressure is actually being absorbed. The best opportunities often feel uncomfortable—but “uncomfortable” isn't enough by itself. Confirmation still matters.
