At some point, $BTC has to start behaving differently across cycles.
We can’t assume Bitcoin will continue falling below its previous ATH by the same magnitude forever. With diminishing cycle returns, repeating increasingly deep retracements would eventually become structurally unsustainable.
If every cycle produced the same deep drawdown pattern,$BTC would gradually lose its volatility and start behaving more like a stable asset.
Eventually, the retracements should become shallower.
This cycle has already seen $BTC move below its previous ATH zone, similar to what happened in 2022. Back then, once BTC broke beneath that level, it didn’t take long for the market to establish its cycle bottom.
So why assume the current cycle must be dramatically different and extend substantially deeper?
From a long-term structural perspective, buying BTC during this type of retracement is comparable to accumulating around $20K in the previous cycle — not because the prices are equivalent, but because the market is once again offering exposure during a major structural pullback.
The difference is that Bitcoin’s baseline has moved significantly higher as the asset has matured.
Cycles evolve. Drawdowns evolve. And BTC may eventually reach a point where previous-ATH breakdowns become the exception rather than the rule.
