How do I change my phone number?

Scenario 1: Your phone number is accessible
On the app
Open your OKX app and go to Menu
Open Main Menu page
Select Account settings and go to Security
Under the Authentication methods section, select Phone
Select Change phone number and tap Yes > Next
Review the Security notice and select Continue
Enter the SMS verification code sent to your current phone number and select Confirm
Complete the required verification, then enter your New phone number and the verification code sent to it, select Confirm to complete.
On the web
Go to your Profile and select Security
On Phone number, select Manage
Select Change phone number and tap Yes > Next
Review the Security notice and select Continue
Enter the SMS verification code sent to your current phone number and select Confirm
Complete the required verification, then enter your New phone number and the verification code sent to it, select Confirm to complete.
Note:
It's mandatory to link both your phone number and email during the authentication setup.
Select Unable to verify if you can't complete the verification.
Scenario 2: Your phone number is not accessible
Non-login status
Please follow the steps below to reset your security verification on your app. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version. Important Note: if you have created a Web3 wallet, back up your wallet first. Learn more here about how to back your seed phrase or private key.
On the login page, enter your phone or email address, then select Next > Forgot your password > Confirm
Review the Security notice and select Continue
Select Unable to verify > Reset authentication method
Tap Phone > Confirm, review the Security notice and select Continue
Complete the required verification, then enter your other linked verification method on the security verification page. Follow the on-screen prompts to proceed until the process is complete.
Logged in status
Open the OKX app and go to Menu
Select Account settings and go to Security
Under the Authentication methods section, select Phone
Select Change phone number and tap No > Next > Phone number > Confirm.
Complete the required verification, then enter your new phone number and the verification code sent to it. Tap Confirm to complete the reset.
Note:
You're not allowed to perform withdrawals, sell crypto via P2P, or conduct DEX trading within 24 hours after you've changed your phone number
You can change or reset your phone number, but you can't remove it.
