Researchers just mapped out a way to give Bitcoin Zcash-style shielded privacy — without changing Bitcoin's core rules at all. No hard fork. No consensus change. The system still can't fully lock and release real BTC yet. But the fact that this is even being seriously mapped out says where the privacy conversation is heading.
